Just giving this a shot in case there are some runners/cyclists around here. I'm personally into rowing but if I'm gonna get into running I'd like to:

  • Not have to pull out my phone to check my heart-rate
  • Not pay ~300$ for a Polar/Garmin runner watch

Thoughts?

Thought rowing is a rich kid sport. And you are counting shekels? Hmm.

It's became a lot more affordable in recent years. I got a water rower my ~700$ CAD from our new jewish overlords at Amazon. Just embrace the inevitable goyim, but be ready to survive it.

A couple years back I was biking to work regularly. My route took me through a park and along a river. There were 2 or 3 regular rowers on the river many mornings.

anything on your wrist isn't as accurate as the chest strap.

yep but a simpler one, I know the higher-end of Polar and Garmin watches do that but they also carry their own HR sensors and their own GPS which I don't care about, I already have to use a smartphone anyway.
