I'm much the same. Couldn't care less what politics glorified jesters or entertainers have unless it is blatantly degenerate. I listen to Slipknot here and there, as well as other bands. That being said, I don't buy albums or anything of the sort. If it's good music, I'll listen to it. I remember one song from Madden 08 back when I was a kid... A few actually. "There goes my hero" and "Night Drive" being some of my favorites. Early 2000's music has a certain charm to me that other music doesn't. It's like it's on the verge of being new, but still has an older sound to it. I like it.
Also, you aren't the only one part injun. I've got some Cherokee blood, myself. I find comfort in knowing that there's a good to fair chance they are descended from Europe, the Mediterranean in reality.
Not that it matters. I can't name a trait I carry that shows I'm injun. I look more German than anything, but seeing the world situation... I'm more than happy to grab free shit when/if I can. Better me than a nigger, I can promise whoever's money I'm taking that.

I can only relate through watching others in this matter. However, It seems pretty funny to me. The odds of that are astronomically low as far as I can tell.
