Most of us have surely gone through the same altogether too slow and wonky transformation, still clinging to incredibly dumb dogmatic things we just held on to thanks in large part to the endless inculcation we had to endure in schools for all those years. And NOW kids get taught even MORE bonkers bullshit!! But that said, I think it's so over the top idiotic now that any kid with an ounce of sense will immediately HAVE TO question everything sooner than later once they get to that point of psychological development.

Eh, we met half way. I was a huge male chauvinist [I still am, but I also was then], and had no regard or tolerance for entitlement and such.
For some reason I still kind of bought into the whole tragic downtrodden underclass who somehow deserved these weird worthless tokens. I remember being slightly shocked but also understanding the absolute truth of her observations. I remember now, it was Rage Against the Machine that brought all this up. She never even tries to remember the name of that band and just calls them "those angry indians", lol. Being part injun myself, it never seemed particularly extreme or I just didn't give a fuck, whatever, they make noises that sound like they rock and all that...
But god damn it, I just can't even put up with their nonsense anymore.
Jeez, she pretty much chose me. I thought she was way out of my class range... but what was super fun, she thought I was out of hers as well... so we lived [sort of mostly] happily ever after.
