Evolution as a theory is fine as far as it goes, but it doesn't explain the root of things. It doesn't explain why rocks and dust would want to turn themselves into complex living organisms. And I'm sorry, but the answer, "There is no reason, they just do it," is not a sufficient response. In order for non-living materials to become living, and evolve to ever greater complexity, there has to be a driver that impels and directs them. That driver is not evident in the material universe, despite centuries of searching for it by scientists, so my conclusion is that it probably lies outside our material universe. Science, for all its bragging and bullshit, has not been able to create life, not even the smallest and simplest of living things.
