The problem is the why. What is the purpose of such an organization? Fundementally, any institution capable of existing across generations and cultures must have an organizing foundational principle that transends time and culture. What is the principle here: economic, survival, research, defense? If it were economic, it would be a slave based economy and slave economies are inherently unstable and self destructive. Likewise for survival, the foundational purpose compounded by the organizations behavior would trend towards self destruction over time. Same for defense. All those proposed foundational organizational principles are transitory and incapable of survival over generations, let alone 10s of thousands of years, even though each would see peaks of success during any interim stretch in that period. Therefore, research of the human species seems a likely candidate for the fundemental organizing principle of this so called Brotherhood. But what are they actually researching and what is the research question they are trying to answer? Alternatively, the purpose could be entertainment or nothing at all. If nothing, then there's no point worrying about it. If entertainment, then it behooves us all to be more entertaining.
