Work for me has almost entirely become a means to an end. I no longer work to find something happy to work on. I work to get out. I work to enable me to have a better life. I don't work to work.

I don't think they do anymore. I have a plan and I'm working towards a simple, frugal lifestyle where I believe I'll be much happier.

  • Does one drive the other? How?

The up and down, overall unfulfilling pattern of work drives me to seek a better life. The possibilities for a better life drive me to work so I can acquire what I need for such a life.

Yeah? How did that go? Will it be one you can take offroad a bit, or more of a road going trailer?
