  • Why are we here?

I don't think anyone could tell you why. The important thing is that we are here.

  • What is the meaning or purpose of life?

You'll have to pick that one out for yourself. Mine... I'd have to think on it.

  • What is the relationship between the individual and others?

The individual cannot survive without the group. And the group has no meaning without the individual. Trying to survive with nature on your own quickly reveals the necessity of others. The species doesn't continue itself from solo lives, either. But groups too big, and the individual is drowned out. Community is important, but realisitically very small community.

  • Where do family, country, and the rest of the world fit in?

Extensions of things which you care less and less about, the bigger the circle. Your family is most important. Your neighbors important, but less. Your townsmen are important, but less yet. Your countrymen you prefer to those out of the country. And so forth. Smaller the group, tighter the bond, and the more meaningful it is.

  • What is good, and what is evil?

Good is what benefits you. Evil is what destroys you. Many things are not precisely good or evil, but your application of them can be. I also think this is going to end up subjective, even though I don't really like relative morality. It's just how it ultimately happens, is through individual decisions on what good and evil are, and how people act on it. Even if they don't model anything decently representing good and evil.

  • What is the role of joy, sorrow, justice, injustice, love, peace and strife in life?

All emotions have their place to make you appreciate things. Without bad, good is hollow and soon forgotten. With only bad, there is nothing worth fighting for. Sorrow brings contemplation. Joy brings thankfulness. Injustice begets pursuit of fairness.
