Why work?

Because you aren't rich enough to be an investor, and you aren't poor enough to be a begger.

And you don't want to be a theif, although that title applies to beggars and investors and everyone in between.

What's work for?

Transferring your time and labor and intelligence, all in exchange for money, a store of value

what does work mean

Refuse to answer

How does it relate to the individual, others, society?

Your individual is my other, and your society is my collection of individuals. I refuse to answer this question because I think it could be less gayly worded.

What defines good or worthwhile work?

It can't be happiness, can it? Seriously, happiness at work is not always a barometer of how good the work is.

If you love being at work, but are financially unable to take of small family, of one wife and one child, it still isn't good work.
