Tantra involves following the left-hand path to enlightenment, also known as the short path. Why short? Because, by following trantra practices, you can ... maybe ... achieve freedom from the wheel of karma in a single lifetime. This is simply not possible with other religious practices. How does tantra achieve this? By forcing you to break every taboo and religious law. You have sex with people you shouldn't have sex with, in ways you should not use; you eat things you shouldn't eat; you drink things you shouldn't drink. Continuing in such practices has two outcomes -- freedom from karma, or madness and death. I must inform you that madness and death are by far the more likely outcomes. The perversions engaged in with tantric practices of the short path can become addictive, and they are invariably destructive if continued long. It is a giving in freely to all your worst impulses and vices. Most people, when they do this, simply become degenerates and die of liver failure, or some other disease or accident. The tantric adept who is able to find the goddess shakti can transcend these vices and learn from them, thus purging himself of lifetimes of karma in a few short years.
