If Trump was just impeached, does that mean he's still President?

As far as I understand it, impeachment is a process to remove an official from office. If Biden is president, wouldn't that mean Trump couldn't be impeached, as he's already out of office? Can anyone clear this up for me? If it wasn't an impeachment, what just happened? A double-reverse opposite-day impeachment? A temper tantrum?

Wait, I thought that he was acquitted? I don't oft follow American politics, but that's what jumpt in to my feed.

Slightly confused, now.

"Impeach" is just a formal accusation (think of it like an indictment in a regular court). An official can be impeached, but unless they get convicted then it means nothing.

House of Representatives = Impeaches

Senate = Convicts or acquits after trying the alleged crime someone was impeached for.

And even if the Senate were to acquit the actual sanctions are a separate proceeding. For a sitting President, they would have to decide whether or not to remove him from office. Since Trump is out of office, the worst they can do is bar him from ever holding elected office in the future.
