Poal is much further under the radar. Also, putt may not have been the world’s best. Voat was built off a student project, then the entire database ported. And every set of updates was never finished. There are a lot of reasons. That said, I could say that Voat was far less intensive in the browser. Poal sucks down battery much more quickly, in my anecdotal experience. (Maybe my battery is reaching EOL, but Voat would run on a potato, so I should see how this newfangled site does on my collection of shit.
