I find it hard to believe that on sites w tens of thousands of users at any given time, there's almost no engagement ever. I remember Totse, Instrife, places like that and by the time you replied there were 6 people ahead of you, pages and pages of that per post.

Where is everyone? Is it a thing in tech now to filter forums thru individual logins and then curate a botverse per user? Some interplay between them to generate data points and a veneer of authenticity?
