Virtue signaling is ego expression. Ego expression is what is wrong with this world. There is way too much ego.
Buddhist, Catholic and Hindu monks (to name a few) spend their entire lives working to rid themselves of all vestiges of ego and we live in a society where people glorify it without understanding an iota about themselves. It makes me sick.
The ego mind was given to us by the archons.
I've been reading about the Archons. It's a theory and it has some merit but it's hypothetical. I posit that any other hypothesis about the origin and nature of the Universe and creation is equally believable.
If the Archons are controlling us now what is the answer to breaking free? In my view it's doing the work of meditation and mindfullness which is HARD and fraught with fruitlessness, frustration and danger of being mislead.
With respect, IMO saying it's the Archons is a cop out.

At the root of suffering is always ego. I always beat myself up silly if I ever have any intruding thoughts that I'm better than anyone. I just want to be better than how I was yesterday, not act like I'm above someone else because of my expertise, status, money, skill, or knowledge.
Good philosophy. The only person you should be in competition to be better than is your historic self.
