I have a PhD in Physical Chemistry. I have had several classes on quantum mechanics. The math is very real and the models work well within their limits. Still a lot to learn but when isn’t there?

If you think it’s fake and gay, it’s because you’re too retarded to understand it.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I suspected I might be too retarded to grasp it. However, I still think the pop culture forcing it on to us is super gay, and any other field adopting “quantum” or entanglement is fake

Yeah, a big problem with how people understand is all the bullshit that makes it’s way into media. Most of the shit you see when they “make it accessible” is just misinterpretations and bullshit. So the public never gets to see the real stuff outside of taking a class. Which most will never do.

Well, I’m the public and for my viewpoint it’s looking like garbage. I could study it myself but I don’t think I will understand it like a mathematician so I won’t try

What do you think of butanol as a synthetic fuel?

[–] 0 pt

What do you mean?

Economy of fuels relies heavily on how they are produced. So depending on the precursors, efficiency or reactions, purification steps, etc. it could be good or total waste of time.

Butanol has more energy than methanol or ethanol, it has lower volatility and vapor pressure and mixes well with gasoline or diesel. The problem is cost of production, however that didn't stop ethanol, so government subsidies could potentially make it a viable fuel.

The economic considerations and production costs are the only thing that's stopping it from outright replacing gasoline or ethanol.

I thought you knew this.
