I tried doing the thing where I go into display settings >> graphics settings >> choose an app to set preference (btw I only have the choices: desktop app and microsoft store app" which is different from the help guides I see online), and then I choose the program and pick the CPU instead of the GPU.

I have a standard source set up where I've tried capturing the specific window (in this case it's an old game called "blood omen legacy of kain" and "capture any full screen application" and neither are working. When I first installed OBS it was capturing the screen in a tiny spot in the upper left corner of the capture pane, but after I went adjusting the red square in the corner it stopped working. I though the red box was going to tell OBS which section of the screen to capture, but I guess that's not how it works.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I'd like legacy of kain to capture in a full screen type of way (although i think OBS lets me easily edit the video later to crop out the black.
