I sit in a chair an answer a few emails. You seem to severely over-estimate the amount of value generated in corporate America.

If I died at my desk the company would continue without pause. I need them, they do not need me.

Since it allows me to live in a building and eat food - yeah, that's value to me.

But you go sit in a field somewhere and slowly starve to death if you want. Not like starvation is a new concept to commies.
