It's multifaceted. In all its facets, it is appreciation of and attraction to an object of attention, as it is.

Romantic love is brain chemistry for pair bonding. This is why blacks can't fall in love, and "women ain't shit but bitches and hoes". They're not evolved for pair bonding.

Parental love is more evolutionary brain chemistry. It's the most rewarding experience in all of human experience, and it's similarly unavailable to blacks. All the humans feel it. Rabbits don't. K-type evolvers have it, r-type evolvers don't.

Brotherly love is another type of brain chemistry. It's produced through synchronous action, whether singing together, eating at the same table, or building a house together. Anytime you do things at the same time with others. The more precisely identical the action, the more deeply this occurs. When most of your locals have participated in such things together, it's what's known as a "sense of community".

Lastly, fandom. This is not a kind of love, but it's related to social categorization, like the soil that communal->spousal->parental love grows in. Fandom gives a shared sense of identity, which is incredible useful for bonding. "I love football" or "I love Jesus" or "I love steakhouses" gives you a platform for positive interactions with others, which can develop into the varied forms of love.
