Hey, I never believed it either. I got the "coldsore" type when I was in 1-2 grade & have had 3 coldsores in the 40 years since. Last one being in '03 (first divorce). I got a really pissed off phone call from my then girlfriend about 3-4 years ago. Her ob said it was the perfect storm.
I had a hard time believing her myself but thats my story.
