Anglin himself writes that rather than trust him you should evaluate the info and opinions he puts out there for yourself and decide if they are good and useful to you. You should do this with everything regardless, but the point is you do not specifically have to be certain about someone to hear them out and use (or don't use) that information.

That said, he seems to have sacrificed a lot. There have been a rash of Jewish lawsuits against him (libel or defamation or whatever) resulting in tons of money being awarded to those Jews. So he could basically never advance himself in the US if he lived here. He appears to be living in permanent exile somewhere, though he does not let on much about that. Like Poal he is blackballed by payment processors, advertisers, CDN and other background service providers of the internet of various sorts. They up and stole his original domain name. Since 2017, the media has stopped mentioning him entirely and only does so when someone slips up, another dubious honor that seems to be shared with Poal.

Most of the people who call him a shill don't have anything positive to say about anything. You can test this out by asking them what they like.
