I think they have domesticated hyenas.

Not domesticated, literally nothing in that picture is domesticated.

I looked at youtube for videos of domesticated hyenas. The few individual accounts were mostly baby hyenas, and annoying af. This guy says no way @ 6:33.

I think the main problem would be about feed them pounds of meat when you can only eat mud cookies.
