What was the argument about?
Vegan diets for cats and dogs, whether they're possible/healthy or not
Oooooooooh. I'm not trying to start shit, but you're not of the opinion that cats can survive a vegan diet, right?
Ha you're good. But, I am of that opinion actually.
From here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5035952/
"There is—at least in theory—no reason why diets comprised entirely of plants, minerals, and synthetically-based ingredients (i.e., vegan diets) cannot meet the necessary palatability, bioavailability, and nutritional requirements of cats and dogs."
"A growing body of evidence appears to indicate that dogs and cats can survive, and indeed thrive, on nutritionally-sound vegetarian and vegan diets."
The reason "they're carnivores, though" doesn't work is because while yes cats are carnivores, which means they need specific nutrients, these nutrients can simply be synthetically produced and added to a vegan cat food.
