It was one person like 3 weeks ago or something that 'followed' pretty much everyone who made a post or commented during a multi-hour block. May have done that a few times for a few days.
Not sure if they're still around. Can't see who follows you and nobody can see how many followers others have, so it even being shown at all to people is pointless. Just ignore it.
