It helps, because you don't have people breeding with apes creating lower IQ mongrels, that drop your nations' average IQ.
It's more likely they have higher IQs because they tend to have harder work ethics when it comes to studying, academics etc. Stricter parents who actually parent, help too.

Don’t believe me? Just look at the creative and technical output of European culture.
The Japanese are great craftspeople and the Chinese are great political administrators but only in Europe do you find creative geniuses like Newton, Darwin, Tesla, Mozart, Shakespeare, Da Vinci, etc. etc.. And from white Europeans and North Americans we get things like the scientific method, electricity, automobiles, flight, computers and most of the technology that we now rely on in modern societies.
Yes you can find incremental creativity in Japan and China and Korea but up to now most of the huge breakthroughs have been made in the west.
IQ is mostly genetic, especially at the national level, but a country with 100% whites and no immigrants would likely have an IQ comparable to high IQ Asian countries.
like the Scandinavian countries had up till about 15 years ago.
There is a certain group of Japanese people who have heavily interbred with a group of whites that came from ancient Siberia. They tend to be of a different caste than the others and are visually distinct, having beards, Anglican noses, and different facial structures.
I am unfamiliar if there is a similar admixture in other asian peoples however.
