If so why? Do thry really boost horse power?

I'm going for mad max look exterior and a little interior? Thinking programmer might add to the look?

I had a power programmer on a last gen firebird and it barely did anything noticeable.

Now on a turbo car turning up the boost does a lot.

I do not think tuning alone does much but with upgraded parts its a must. With a turbo car a new ecu, turbo, injectors, catback, and a good tune session it does quite good for an older car with over 150k miles.

Worth it is subjective. Best bang for buck is add niitrous. Tuners will get you easy but limited power with timing and more generous fuel map. That's your ceiling unless u add more air with forced induction.

Tuners will give you more low speed pre ignition.

Hey, fellow 392 owner here. What time are you speaking of exactly? Some tunes work nice with the 392 but keep in mind that the 392's achilles heel is the glass pistons. I have a 2018 392 Charger and have opted to keep the motor stock.

2012 does it have glass pistons? And if so should I change them out?

With just a tune, you should be fine. If you plan on any kind of boosting...then rods, rings and drop in pistons would be a smart choice.

Every performance mod will result in an expensive repair sooner. Stick to the cosmetics. Personally, I think the louvers are wicked.
