I have a 40GB file I'm trying to download, and the file payload keeps getting deleted somehow, and it has to start all over again. I cannot find the partially downloaded file anywhere on my drive.

This is really annoying because the file won't stay downloading all the time, and when it does start downloading it's very slow.

hard drive full?

Filesystem permissions.

Save it to a different location.

If it's windows, make a directory c:\shit and save there.

If it's Mac, it's probably catalina or big sur not giving the client permissions properly. For that you are going to have to invoke the application via Terminal. It's a huge pain in the dick to do. If you need instructions let me know what client it is.

no write permissions, drive failure, cache failure, client reset exploits.

"fake" torrent file designed to do that and waste your time and bandwidth.

I wonder if there are padding files that are missing?

What Bittorrent app are you using, and on what OS?
