Spring is on it's way! I started my garden a few years ago, and have learned a lot. I have heirloom seeds and I started composting. It's a year round thing. I'm going to try to grow enough this year to preserve some for next winter.

How's your garden coming? It doesn't take a lot of money if you plan.

Getting the itch to start it up for the season. Have my garden too close to black walnut tree... Tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and peas didn't like that but it took me a few years to realize what the oil from the leaves and seeds do to soil for some plants.

Just getting my starts going for the year. We've been pretty limited on space for the last few years but we're expanding this spring.

Wheat is easy to grow

why would you grow wheat when there's farmers dedicated to growing it with thousands upon thousands of hectares.

Why grow anything if you expect the stores to always be open and fully stocked?

wheat is the LEAST concern out of everything.

My garden's doing great. I don't visit it much. It's a couple of miles down the road on my neighbor's farm, and he and his family tend it with care. Then, come harvest season, I jump in my car, drive ove there, and buy green things.
