I remember not caring which pie I had (apple, pumpkin, rhubarb) because the rhubarb was good. She lived in Detroit and her parents were from czechoslovakia. yes. She made all 3. She had 12 brothers and sisters and the whole family would get together in her huge backyard. Detroit in the '60's. Thats where I witnessed UAW workers sit in a circle and brag about how unproductive they were at work. Trying to top each other. Even as a small kid I knew that was wrong. Then the riots. Which I saw. it was like Beirut. Moved to Florida.
