What's up with that? It can't be that hard to make. The recipe has to be just like an apple pie, except.... Where's my fucking pear pie?

You could probably make a pear pie happen. If I were making one, I'd use bosc pears. I'd poach them in port wine, bouquet garni, sugar, until tender. Slice the pears and then thicken the poaching liquid with arrowroot. Arrange the sliced pears neatly in the pie and pour thickened sauce after every layer. Cross hatch the pie top to show off the beautiful poached pears inside. Your welcome faggots.

God damn you and your delicious recipe. I'm going hunting for a new wife right now and this is the strict criterion by which she'll pass.

Peel and half the pears before poaching then core with a melon baller for best results.

Say melon baller one more time.

have fun being forever single.

"forever" is right now.

Do you know keksimus maximus?

Empress?

Fuck it. Once you've poached a pear you've already reached the pear pinnacle. Why bother with pie? Just make some fresh ice cream to serve with those things and you're set.

You propose to poach a pear like a pied piper predating the present political predictiment as though it was meant to be. ...As though it wasn't this place. What is this? America OnLine? Art Bell Chat? r/coontown? Voat? ...yeah. It's something like that.

...and it's preposterous.

I asked my grandma her secret to her apple pies and she told me she used pears

[–] 3 pts

Wouldn't it turn to mush?

[–] 1 pt

I don't know.

[–] 2 pts

I suspect this is the main issue.

[–] 0 pt

What? That I don't know if pears will turn to mush or are you sarcastically indicating "I don't know" in general? ...Like I'm stupid or something. Is that what you meant?

I have never had a pear pie before, but I have had a pear galette, which is like a topless short pie

Yeah I think pears are too soft for baking. Granny Smiths are popular for the firm tartness. And I think everyone likes a firm tart on occasion.

[–] 0 pt

I agree. Pears are too soft and mild for a pie. One might get away with using them in an apple sauce cake alongside apples.

Agreed! Pears are better than apples.

Pears are soft and flavorless. They need help to release the flavour of a 'pear' after cooking or mixing drinks.

Here is a recipe to make the pie I mentionned.

That's not a pear pie. That's chocolate. Your recipe is for some kind of succulent desert. Chocolate.... You will never get me to do a google search for gigantic lesbian clitoris rape dogs. You think I'm an Israeli agent? Well, why don't you [comment deleted] ..?

Its a pie with pears and it kicks fuckin ass. I strongly recommend this.

Here in France we have chocolate pear pie. It is awesome.

Texture and delicate flavor. I've made one and liked it because I love pear, but apples, especially the right ones (granny smith for me) have the right flavor and texture for pie.

Yeah, you're right I never heard of one either, but apparently they exist...according to google

check out this unique one
