I never made a fast, but someday a friend said you don't really taste coffee when you put sugar on it. So I tried it without sugar, the first time was weird, but I insisted. And holy fuck, he was correct. I'm talking about black coffee. Maybe I started enjoying bitter, idk. Then I started reducing the amount of sugar with other things naturally, and the natural sweets became more evident. I still use sugar, but much less than before.
Yeah that is like what happens after you fast. You can barely stand added sugar. Takes while to get used to the regular sugar added in so many foods. For me the longer the fast, the more pronounced the effects. I have done 3,5,7 and 10 ten fasts.
I think a fast is one thing everyone should try at least once unless there is some major medical reason not to. It is akin to doing a vision quest / spirit walk type deal. If done right, you will gain a control and mastery over your body, putting your mind / spirit (soul) firmly in charge. It's like a muscle most people have never used. Once you know it's there and even develop it, it unlocks all kinds of hidden strength and power.
Not trying to get new agey or weird. Legit, makes a difference in your life, more so if you are in tune somehow with your spiritual side.
