Not necessarily. What are your skill sets? You'd be surprised the types of things people want to outsource to independent contractors these days. I know virtual bookkeepers who are making 6 figures.

I've been a generalist for so long. I've dealt with ERP transitions, full site deployment planning, itsm setups, cabling, monitoring, general mis...

I'd like to get more into programming the tools that I wish existed but were always out of reach.

Put some ads up in local papers or anything that old people read. Do simple IT shit for the oldies at $100 an hour.
