yes, because childhood minds are so easily manipulated, that's when all my friends who decided the same said they made that decision...it's like it's a virus that people don't even know they are infected with, and think their decisions are their own.
Notice my opinion didn't change, once I started working it was reinforced. Kids are a massive, trouble and time laden burden I choose not to have.
I wouldn't be near retirement if I'd had kids just due to the costs.

Best of luck to you staving off the loneliness people around your age constantly talk about who don't have kids and their friends start dying and suddenly they find themselves literally all alone.

Haven't seen that, every parent I know is miserable.
And how was I brainwaashed? By whom? Everyone around me when I was younger always talked about learning to be a good dad and pushed having kids. I'm an 80's kid, can you point to where I was "brainwashed?"
