Turmeric powder (with black pepper) It’s the strongest of the spices - is an anti inflammatory and works effectively on the lungs . Easiest way to take it is on spoon with apple cider vinegar and a twist of black pepper I find it way more effective than the capsules

Careful. Turmeric is also a blood thinner. Could conflict with medications. Vitamin K is also noteworthy for consideration with doctor's treatment.

I haven’t seen a doctor in over 20 years and so I don’t take modern medicine and as he stated he “hates” medications and was looking for a home based solution - the best home based medicine/ solution that I know of for pulmonary complications is turmeric . Am open to other home based suggestions. Thanks for the info anyway.

Anything which is anti-inflammatory is definately beneficial (turmeric is good). But we also don't know what OP is doing.

This is the danger of internet advice.

Homeopathy is a scam

I disagree-I suffered from psoriasis 80% coverage on my body for 8 months-went to skin experts who basically told me “ they don’t know what causes it and they don’t know how to cure it - just manage it with steroids and lotions. Someone talked into homeopath and after taking the “remedy” it disappeared almost immediately ( within 48hours ) never to return. I was sold! I haven’t been to a doctor in 20 years Just my experience

This.

Diluting medicine doesn't make it more effective.

Another good anti-inflammatory is MSM. Changed my life. Put powder in my morning coffee etc.

Vit D for mood. I take more or less, depending on ability to be out in the sun. Also Lithium Orotate for mood. Different than the Lithium a dr. prescribes. Doesn't affect liver/kidneys.

Lots of good ideas given.

Some say that the B vitamins can help, high dosage. Some say that there is enough vitamin B in the food, but wheat flour inhibits the absorption of the vitamins in the digestive system.

Supplements I take and recommend (many supplements are believed to lower overall inflammation and improve mood, so if any of these sound interesting you can look the supposed benefits up):

Turmeric/ginger/curcumin

Apple cider vinegar

Fish oil

Oregano oil

Bee Propolis

Magnesium (supposed to be good for asthma and my wife is a big believer in this one for muscle relaxation)

Lysine

Lugol’s iodine

Also this is a big given but vitamin C is supposed to be good for lung health too just in case you’re not already taking your 500mg daily.

Most people have a nutritional deficiency of some type that leads to health problems. This is often masked by an imbalanced diet or by toxins in the environment. There are several contributing factors. Arthritis runs in my family. I had sever arthritis in my shoulders for many years. The same was true with my brother. I reversed all of it by increasing the boron in my diet. It worked. And it also worked for others as well.

Medications inherently affect PH in the body. Pharmaceuticals are petro-chemical products. I don't know what you mean by pulmonary "damage". Is it an aneurythm, stenosis, other? My immediate suggestion is to eat organic with lots of deep green veggies and very limited red meats. If you have hardening of the arterial wall, silicon tablets help in maintaining healthy vascular walls. If it is plaque deposits, cut way down on calcium intake, increase magnesium, potassium, and boron. Boron is essential for processing calcium out of the body. Find this online - "The Borax Conspiracy". It is based on 24 cited academic studies with their links. Take cayenne as a vascular dilator and blood thinner. It's better than any allopathic medicine. I take 100,000 IU of capsaicin daily with my meal. Ginger is also very good for a vascular dilator for the return side. Tumeric is also very good for vascular health.

bullous emphysema from birth. Essentially little holes in the lungs with trapped air pockets. What i noticed is that a combination of dieting and exercising practically makes the disease go away, i can go months even more than a year without an inhaler. I do love my meats though, and i drink lots of green tea

I really am not familiar with this. All I know is the body tries to heal itself, but our lifestyle and bad eating habits tend to muck it all up. My wife cured her tooth cavity by coconut pulling. So, I know the body is capable of healing itself. If its in your genetic code, it may be different. And other tactics have to be employed. Other than that keep diggin'. for solutions.

Essentially its similar to asthma in its presentation. However, no doctor has been able to conclusively tell me what it is i have. So i have this hybrid disease between asthma, and breathing obstruction.

A full set of vitamins as a general starting point. A B C D E .... including one of the better daily multivitamins.

You might consider L-Arginine, though some say that's risky.

The French pine tree extract too, but it's expensive.

Ubiquinol (CoQ10 activated) if you are over 40 years of age. Worth the money.

Include a broad mix of fresh vegetables in your diet. Maintain it.

Easy on the carbs.

Eat more fresh caught fish - not the farmed stuff.

Avoid feed lot meats as much as possible. Switch to grass fed beef.

Regular walking for exercise will reshape your body inside and out, over time. Easy to pace yourself as you heal.

Regularity is more important than how hard you work out for long term recovery. Some days are normally better than others.

After a year of this you will be a new person.
