Naw, I know where to get good water

4 oz of high grade bud. Everything else you need will be provided to you in exchange for sharing.

Keep it concealed unless you want to become an instant target.

"i know a guy down the block I have to get it from, I'll brb"

A rope

hmmmm, why a rope?

To practice knot-tying, or noose loops, whatever...the devil finds work for idle hands!

I was thinking my tent, a hatchet, some cord, some good duct tape, a big water bladder, a battery bank for my cell phone, a couple changes of clothes, two towels, bunch of socks, a tarp, couple of blankets, what am I forgetting?

[–] 1 pt

More hats, coats, gloves than you think. 3x the layers underneath you as over you, when you sleep (ground sucks the heat out of you).

Some of those little sterno stoves?

Or you could move here

I'm only homeless for the month, because the friend I was supposed to move in with dicked me over. I got storage for all my shit. I got someone to take care of my cat, maybe I'll just walk around texas for a month.

You could pay an annual fee at a camp site and just fish the month away! Amenities can include water, bathrooms, showers, and electric for like $50 a month year around where I live. Whoops, meant year.

a decent knife/sharpener, magnium firestarter, or lighters ziplock bags to keep what you want dry.

[–] 1 pt

Yes to Magnesium fire starter. I had one for a wilderness trip in high school. Most important item in my backpack.

Dude screw trying to start a fire every night with magnesium clippings and flint, just buy a BIC.

I've always carried magnesium sticks in my camping bag but I don't think I've ever actually used one. If you have dry tinder a regular lighter works perfectly fine to start a fire.

You can use a broken piece of cup of dinner plate for a whetstone.

A sleeping mat to help keep you warm/comfortable, trash bags, a gun, a cooking stove with spare lighters/matches, salt and pepper, plenty of reading material, and perhaps a harmonica or banjo.

Oh and a bandana. Can't forget your trusty skank!

a gun

Thats not an exagerration.

A while back a real estate agent was eaten alive by a pack of feral hogs.

Apparently in the fucking suburbs.

extra shoes to stash around. from what i've seen/heard, a-holes like to steal shoes & boots off homeless while they are sleeping

[–] 1 pt (edited )

Everyone always forgets extra socks.

If your feet are hot and sweaty you've already waited too long to change your socks.

Should be changing the multiple times a day.

Feet were not designed to be in boots all day.

Knife

Sleeping pad

Get a metal grill from goodwill (like the part food sits on a BBQ)

Goto the dollar store and get a stack of paper plates, and buy their $1 silverware

Might also want a loof/sponge to clean your silverware and grill

Couple cartons of smokes, both for my own sanity and for bartering.

Gotta know - what brought you down to texas?
