I get you but through out the years AMD/ATI has always had shitty drivers. Maybe that's changed but I had a friend who bought an AMD card (like 2 yrs after they bought ATI) and the drivers were still shit. So I still buy NVIDIA (even though I concur they're douches) because of the driver support.
Sure, better drivers generally I agree.
But it's not that big of a deal, all the AMD stuff I've had still works well.
AMD/ATI stuff I've had has always worked well. They're drivers are more open code based and tech's they support are far more open as well. Support practices with your wallet even if it's at a tiny bit of a sacrifice, in this case it is tiny.
