The 'second wave' bullshit is especially egregious. It's fucking flu season again, we've been listening to this bullshit for a full year. Every single year you've got new strains of viruses. Every year you've got vaccines that provide half ass inoculation against last year's viruses. Pumping thousands of variants of other people's diseases into your body instead of letting it deal with the one it catches is asinine. To expect it to protect you against this year's mutations is retarded. The most hardcore "wear a mask get a vaccine" idiots know shit about what they're talking about. We have new viruses every year, at this time of year, and looking at the excess deaths year over year 2020 wasn't even the worst one. 2010's was worse. Viruses spread ridiculously quickly through populations, some are susceptible and die affecting the elderly. Then the disease's effectiveness drops off a cliff. We saw the same arc we see every year, lockdowns and masks showed up after it already ended in march and april. No country had any different numbers, lockdowns, no lockdowns, masks, no masks. None of those unprecedented measures made a lick of difference.
