The conspiracy doesn't say they're not real. It says that our bodies create them as a way to deal with bacteria, mold, etc.
...and? You can watch viruses doing virus stuff including infecting other cells and making copies of themselves until the cell busts and spews more viruses all over. They are infectious. They are biological and are not really alive... they had to come somewhere and their biological nature suggests they came from some living creature that somehow went off the rails... but this does not change the fact that they propagate and reproduce; they infect and spread.
