Crypto is bound to be fraught with hazards, but I've always wondered why no one is starting a gold-backed cryptocurrency. Seems like it would be an excellent way to upstage the dollar. The biggest problems I imagine, would be having enough gold to back it, and not getting killed over the whole thing.
