The Voat way was: upvoat stuff you agree with.

The Poal way is: upvote stuff you think should be discussed.

The Jew way is the same as the Poal way: discuss any insane idea just because. That leads to deconstructionism, which led to the destruction of the West.

Just stick to the Voat way. Upvote stuff you agree with, downvote stuff you hate. Maybe it's less civilized, but fuckem.

the poal way is to make the up and down vote buttons on mobile impossible to hit. Problem solved.

edit: friendly webdev advice for mobile. Keep the button as small and slick as you'd like, but make the container it's in what receives the click and pad the fuck out of it to your hearts content. Design still looks good and the target for your finger/mouse is mo bigger. win win, mobile 101

Problem solved by the tastemakers!

Literally took me 6 attempts to upvoar your comment, ha.

  1. The infinite ability to create subs leads to people making duplicates of posts for the sole purpose of getting clicks thus higher rank.

  2. Agree on how Voats downvoting put the shaft in new account trolls. There were a bunch of us who kept the Reddit trolls at bay simply by viewing new posts. Poal would benefit from that sentry system.

Easier to forum slide if the community can't downvote. And especially in the case of moderators that micromanage feeds and the potential for 3rd parties that may pay for content to get exposure. Always question intention.

Just stick to the Voat way. Upvote stuff you agree with, downvote stuff you hate. Maybe it's less civilized, but fuckem.

All your votes will be erased if you do that. The issue isn't even that your votes will disappear in itself, its the fact that you might lull yourself into the sense that upvote/downvote ratios are informative of actual community feedback when they aren't. The voat vote system was superior for a number of reasons, but I suspect the poal vote system is better adjusted to forum micromanagement and aggregating target (funded) material to the audience.

[–] 2 pts

Poal gets no funding other than donations. Most of the time I have payed for it out of my own pocket.

[–] 1 pt

Thank you for being awesome.

[–] 1 pt

Funded, you say? That could be quite damning.

[–] 5 pts

In the spirit of your post, I've downvoted you.

[–] 2 pts

Lol Poal fag greets Voat fag in native tongue. Salute.

[–] 2 pts

No I miss Voat. But the niggerfags of poal don't deserve to be compared to kikes, not for having a slightly different, less instinctive approach to votes.

[–] 0 pt

Well okay. Good to meet you here on a neighboring continent.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

That is bannable here. Yes, the mods are that retarded.

[–] 3 pts

You’re totally banana able. 😂

You should apply for a job at CNN

[–] 6 pts

I did, they gave me an IQ test and said I was over qualified because I could tie my shoes.

[–] 0 pt

Oh, you won't get banned. You'll just have your reputation wiped out. Maybe instead of making stupid jokes you should acknowledge the Poal policy was an interesting experiment that was okay for a small community, but an utter failure in practice on a board with an actual userbase. People are afraid to use a standard feature.

I used to defend Poal on the Searchvoat forum against the most hyperbolic attacks, but I stopped, because there was one charge I could not defend against: bad vibe. You lack the required maturity and thick skin to admin a place like this.

Wait, for real? That's reddit tier faggotry.

[–] 0 pt

You must be new here.

The glorified "admin", or rather a janny-wannabe, is hyperactive. Or as I've seen it put: Big Brother vibe.

>[thing I don't like] is the way of the Jew

Poal way is better because you might actually get to think about something. This site has been functioning fine this way.

And yeah is right if you're still bitching about the voting system at this point Reddit might be a better fit.

Or make Voat 2. One of you retards should make Voat 2 so we can tell you to go back.

[–] 2 pts

I fully agree with this

[–] 1 pt

The system is exactly the same. The custom is different.

[–] 1 pt

You will be punished for downvoting too much and also your downvotes are visible to some degree, so both the system and custom are different.

I still tell them to go back to voat. The underlying meaning just changed.

[–] 4 pts

Way better.

[–] 3 pts

Yep. And it does just come down to culture, no? I mean, the functions of the two boards are basically the same, no? So it then comes down-er to who runs the culture, i.e., who is most active. I wonder how many Noses are here.

[–] 3 pts

Yes, Voat was better.

[–] 3 pts

I like Poal's method better.
Just today someone was questioning the comparison of the capital riots to the BLM. FWIW I disagreed with his take on it, but the guy received 22 DVs for a simple line of questioning.
Treatment like that drives people away.

[–] 4 pts

If you got 22 downvotes on one comment from a site like this, which doesn't have a whole lot of users to begin with, and remember that this site is full of faggots who cry when the downvote button is pushed, then maybe they SHOULD be driven away.

I've had to deal with way more retards, niggers and kikes here than on Voat. If I want to read what some Jew or nigger has to say, I'll visit literally any other site on the internet. But here, they get the gas, I mean downvote.

[–] 3 pts

Well you can't rescue every post. Perhaps the wording was dumb. There's always a better way to phrase stuff, and it usually gets posted in a better way, multiple times. That's why No Mercy is better. It refines the argument by attrition.

[–] 1 pt

What, you don't like echo chambers?

Wah, wah, I was mass downvoted on the Interw3bs because people disagree with my stupid take. Who fucking cares? If you can't take some downvotes, you don't belong on a free speech site anyays. You think maybe calling people nigger faggot might "drive them away" too?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

You haven't downvoted anyone yet. Don't be a fucking pussy and start downvoting like there's no tomorrow.

[–] 2 pts

Unless you're a Q fag, down voting gets disciplined.

[–] 2 pts

Yeah, I've wondered about that, because that useless crazy fag godsangell downvotes like it oxygenates his blood. I've been purposefully saying things to get him to downvote me so he'll get tagged and it hasn't worked.

Well that doesn't seem to be very effective because they are the ones who are constantly downvoting.

[–] 1 pt

If I'm reading you right, you're saying Q fags run this house?

[–] 2 pts

They certainly seem to have privileges not enjoyed by others.

[–] 0 pt

I am a poal retard but can't we just go to New, downvote every Qstorm post, and upvote everything else??

[–] 0 pt

I downvote freely, and haven't earned the fag tag yet. I also upvote a lot too though, which probably helps.

[–] 1 pt

I tend to leave the downvotes to others, in the hopes that my upvotes are enough. I don't want to dissuade conversation but I do want to encourage specific other forms of conversation. Which makes me kind of Facebergish. Yikes. Looks in mirror, checks nose.

[–] [deleted] 2 pts

I remember using message boards that didn't use any nigger vote systems at all.
