Who declares monopolies and are they independent from them?
The DoJ is responsible for anti-trust cases, but it's mostly just a bribery system, or a political tool. There are probably a dozen+ anti-trust cases in the courts, but magically all of our major monopolies aren't being targeted. Werid that Trump had four years and big tech and big media didn't get touched that entire time. They all attacked him, yet he did nothing to break up their obvious monopolies and constant mergers/acquisitions. Weird...

It's only weird if you believe the CEO/face of Americorp has any more power than your average fortune 500/industry lobbyist.
This is kind of a revelation for me, despite being obvious. When you think of our president (and all politicians, really) as lobbyists, it all makes perfect sense.
What's weird is that anyone would claim it as weird when it's obvious whose side he's on. You could say that both sides were in on it: the mainstream to attack him and him to be attacked -- this creates the atmosphere that there actually are two sides.
