There wasn't much I wasn't already aware about, but it looks like all the replies to the deleted comments are also gone, that would suck if the thread was more important.
That's actually a very good point and analogy, except we are far worse than what happened to the Library of Alexandria. Every one knew that the great library was burned. Today, it just takes a finger peck on the delete button to eliminate entire libraries. Along this same line, does any one realize how precarious our technology and records have become? One catastrophic event (EMP, solar flare, Atlantis?) boom. Who would have the tools to rebuild? I mean, at least the ancients etched their history and knowledge on giant stone stellas, and tablets and little of it remains, but we have all our history and knowledge on a proverbial thumb drive. We are hanging by a thread.
