How far are you willing to go to not take it? Will you be willing to never travel by air? Will you give up some jobs? Most jobs? Any job? Give up restaurants? Give up retail shopping, including for food?

Will you go to jail?

Will you pretend to have taken it, not actually fighting the program? What will you do if they find out?

What about when they demand you give it to your children?

How vigorously will you protest? Will you actually, truly be out there on the street holding a sign? How many letters will you send to your mayor, your representative, your senator?

At what point will you push back and how hard? How firm is your commitment, given your history with commitments of this type?

The time to decide is now.

I'm surprised. You're basically proposing a direct-to-consumer delivery system, right? Whereby your van would collect orders for people and deliver them. If the rancher sold direct to you, they could charge prices closer to what is seen at the grocery market and make a larger profit. I'm interested in this too, I worked in the food industry (production and retail) and I can see food security is our biggest weakness going forward.

That's one end of it. But there's also the issue of barter/trade/payment with cash or other completely privates means with other folks within the "network". That's the part at which people have blanched. The funny thing is this is precisely how a lot of ethnic-based trading networks work. I'm looking at you Chinese Americans. ;)
