Not at all likely. Big distraction to further their agenda and pull attention from campaign promises that will never get fulfilled.

What else they going to do, defund the police, pass a healthcare bill, create a minimum livable wage payment system? This hooks will be saved until 2022 elections.

don't forget the immigrants, legal(?) and illegal

Only 9 Senators supported him two weeks ago. I'd say likely.

As if any of this even matters.

They need 2/3 of the votes. Never going to happen

Is there anyone left who cares about his fate? Does he need re-elected in 4 years to further strengthen laws prohibiting the criticism of jews? Perhaps there are more bump stocks to ban or more of our money to give to blacks? There is a whole lot more wall to build, so maybe we need him for that? Oh, if he gets convicted, kushner won't have a good chance of being president 48 or 49? Can't have that now, can we?

Interesting optics and strategy though. Surely convicting him just makes him a martyr and empowers one of his ghastly vile grasping children to take up the reins?

I got the vibe Trump was trying to set up a Kennedy / Bush style political dynasty thing very early on and that hasn't gone away.

A trump dynasty is the last thing we need unless it's Barron bent on a killing spree.

He's gone and we get punished for electing him showing the masses the need for a real strong pro-american leader.

I'll admit when I'm fooled as it doesn't happen very often. I think the masses do want a strong leader. A friend of israel, an ass kisser of the nogs, more talk than action, but an unapologetic leader.

Don't be hard on Trump. He's an amazing business man who turned America around and made it prosper as it has never done before. He was a great president. Unfortunately, he is not by nature a leader -- he doesn't really know how to intimidate and control other men the way, say, Putin knows how to do it. He's not quite that ruthless.

I wish I could unlearn or ignore many aspects of his presidency allowing us to agree.

Very. They will also punish his fam and his followers.

I'd say zero chance, except I prediced that Trump would be in the White House for the next four years. I wasn't wrong -- Trump easily won the election -- but other factors intervened. So who knows what the Senate will do?

The Senate is far more anti Trump than the House. I would say the chances are very likely. The only hedge Trump has is leading an alternative to the GOP.
