Someone here said to get my ASA certs. The books are on the way. There is a sailing school at a local lake here. I'm going to join in about a month. Hopefully the weather breaks. I don't know what I'm doing. Have you heard of any groups looking to do this type of stuff?
What sort of work were you looking into? I was hoping the boat could. Be my 'job' by taking people out on it.

Most likely not, powerboaters sure, but sailing, I seriously doubt it. If that's your attitude towards those kinds of people most of the Caribbean / South America isn't going to be fun for you either.
As for work, I'll be retired, just work at marinas fixing the rich idiot boaters stuff.

If you own a seafairing boat you are a Captain, Navigator, Radio Operator, Mechanic, Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Fisherman, Prepper, Medic, Etc.
You gotta know your shit when you're on the open water with no land in sight. Plus be able to maintain and repair.
