I work as a cashier at a grocery store and the most I should be seeing is $150.00 not even. Like $100 should be the most. Not an average of $250 when buying for a whole household. I've seen some go over $300

Edit: I think something President Franklin D Roosevelt did with the New Deal contributed to the rise in food prices

Idk, I agree food is expensive but at the same time a lot of people don't know how to shop to save money. I buy discounted meat and freeze it, I buy store brand for most things, I also buy a lot of discount veggies and other foods, and mostly buy things only if they are on sale, and I try to keep plan witch also cuts down on my grocery bill.

So not all of these people could be lowering their bills but a lot of them could be.

You’re doing what most of the people don’t.

It’s easy to eat fast food joints junk food filled with corn syrup, nitrate and sodium.

It takes time to buy fresh ingredients and cook meals. It’s even cheaper.

Priorities.

My parents both worked full time and my mom went to school full time, she still made time to make homemade or mostly homemade meals most nights. If she can do it I can too.

I love cooking for that reason. It reminds me of all the things I’ve learned in my childhood. 😊
