the money is irrelevant for most of them when you are owned, you don't get the option of quitting, the money is kickbacks yes, but regardless of how fast they spend it, they will be paid more for their complicit acts think a mob boss paying a cop he's bought, regardless if the cop takes that particular payment or not, the mob boss will still expect his favours, so you might as well take it, that's their mentality at least I think. I think in part they've become so attached to the lies they've been telling they want to maintain that narrative til the grave, because once they go out they think their "legacy" will be forever, remember obama and wanting "his legacy".
