I want to get a new small pickup, one with an extended cab. Preferably a 4 cylinder

I've been keeping my eyes out for Toyota pickups, Nissan Frontiers and Ford Rangers.

I currently have a Toyota Pickup but it has a regular cab and I really need the extra space for tools. I wouldn't mind getting another Toyota, but I've been keeping my options open.

Which of the 3 pickups would you choose and why? And if you have suggestions for other similar pickups that would look nice as a business truck then feel free to share

I personally wouldn't want anything newer than '06, something with a manual transmission, manual everything if it's for work. Ford Ranger or Mazda B-series is what I'd be looking for. Get one with six cylinders you'll do pretty well on gas, even if you're towing. Parts are plentiful, and if you can't do it yourself you won't get raped by a mechanic. Added bonus is there's no embedded GPS. You can still be tracked by traffic and dash cams, but it's a lot easier to drop off the grid for a weekend if you want to.
