The article you linked was from another poster, the Christian website.
Yeah, that's why I ask what numbers are you referring to/ what article?
I mean "I'm competent in numbers, and the scientists quoted specifically said that this number was likely too high due to the factors stated.", your claim here https://poal.co/s/AskPoal/269158/a2eef851-0541-42fe-ab60-d214ce9f6fa9#cmnts
What scientists, what number?
You posted this: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/middle-east-respiratory-syndrome-coronavirus-(mers-cov)
We have been discussing that link and wikipedia.
I did not post the other article to which you are referring.
Yeah I've posted it because the wiki article said https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronavirus#Infection_in_humans
>Coronaviruses vary significantly in risk factor. Some can kill more than 30% of those infected, such as MERS-CoV, and some are relatively harmless, such as the common cold.[50]
"Some can kill more than 30% of those infected"
And indeed according to WHO https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/middle-east-respiratory-syndrome-coronavirus-(mers-cov)
>Approximately 35% of reported patients with MERS-CoV infection have died.
That's why I've posted those, to indicate that a coronavirus isn't necessarily the common cold while it can be, and to confirm that yes, more than 30% of people infected by MERS died
....
And again, I fail to see how you can rule that covid19 is the common cold here or that it doesn't even exist, based on those articles/numbers
