I was just looking at a few of these over the weekend. Never had one and don't know anyone who has used them. Any tips on what to look for in quality or ease of use?
Understand what your needs are and choose based on that.
Do you need it for heating or just cooking, etc?
What kind of fuel is available
How easy is it to get parts, maintain, clean
Portable or fixed unit
For me fuel limitations is a big issue. There are no hardwoods in my jungle and because of the weather, even small diameter wood cuttings can take more than a year to dry out. The best fuel I have is bamboo so I got a rocket stove. I also like that I can haul the stove around the homestead to do different task.

I was thinking of getting a small one of these just in case I need it. Do you have an indoor setup for it or do you use it mostly outside?
Mine is for an outdoor kitchen but is small enough to safely bring inside if fireproofed a spot for it.
