Amazing composer in the realm of movies/video game soundtracks and whatnot, up there with John Williams, Nobuo Uematsu, and others. I'm sure classical music spergs wouldn't rate him that highly in the grand scheme of things, but in terms of popular music/soundtracks I'd say he's one of the best if not the best.
he would be more highly rated if he actually wrote half “his” material.
you don’t understand how most modern music is made, do you? i have more faith in Uematsu actually being responsible for his compositions, but zimmer? not a chance. that’s like saying ozzy osbourne is one of the greatest song writers of all time (never wrote any of his own lyrics. never wrote any riff. he would sing about random nonsense during jam sessions which was later replaced)
Well whoever makes Hans Zimmer's music is good at making music, lol.
lots of sinergy there - its why when groups of musicians split up and decide to do their own solo projects you are left wondering what happened to their creativity. not always, but there’s always something missing.
zimmer noticeably got worse with age. he was never a great composer to begin with - at least no where even close to the likes of rachmaninov, who would be considered a genius by all accounts.
blame technology and jewish supremacy, along with diversity; jewish supremacists decided we must adopt other more simple repetitive cultures in music, and technology made us think so lazily and made a few notes sound like a massive symphony.
