I suppose it can’t be called a false dichotomy with more than two options. Still, the poll is bullshit.
Protests accomplish nothing. Ever. They are theatrics used by the powerful to give the illusion of a groundswell of support for their pet projects, such as BLM, commie agitation of the hippies and labor unions, and the MLK protests.
Alternately, they are used as propaganda to show how vile and toxic those who oppose the power of the state are. They don’t win new followers. They don’t get a message across. They are always infiltrated by glowniggers and agent provocateurs, and nowadays usually result in some sort of staged or foe-incited violence.
What gets results is deliberate action coupled with a clear message. As of now, those fighting on the side of what is just have neither. What results is wasted energy, flailing, and massive risk with little to no reward. The only benefactors of protesting tomorrow will be those who can point to the “unhinged right” and arrest any who were gullible enough to believe they would accomplish anything by standing around in public, shouting and waving signs.
I suppose it can’t be called a false dichotomy with more than two options. Still, the poll is bullshit.
This is what I came here to say, but you put it better than I did.
Also, staying home to make sure my loved ones are safe from anything that might happen while I'm gone is not "doing nothing."
Reflecting even further on the matter, “staying home and doing nothing” tomorrow doesn’t mean staying home and doing nothing forever. We don’t need OP’s Leeroy Jenkins tactics and agitation for “action” right now.
John Galt would indeed approve of your comments.
